Hello and welcome.
19th March to 12th April was the Maidenhead Painting Club Exhibition in the Maidenhead Heritage Centre entitled “River, Road and Rail”. I painted this view of Gaiety Row from the Guards Club park footbridge for the show which was bought at the exhibition.These houses on River road were notorious in the Edwardian era as places of entertainment for the Guards officers . The footbridge to the island where the Guards boathouse once stood was restored in the 1990’s
