Programme 2 Adele Ward

Adele ward in
conversation with Gail Dorrington.

I only met Adele the same morning we made the programme and since then we have collaborated on a poetry workshop for the Cookham Festival 2007, and remain firm friends. We spent a freezing cold day in Hastings ( is it the summer?) with our boys exploring castle ruins and pirate caves that took us out of the rain and pigged out on fish and chips and  far too many cakes! We discovered an extraordinary statue of Counsellor Bunk from the Hastings Winkle Society who had himself immortalised next to a sculpture of Winston Churchill down in those caves. The boys had no idea why we were still giggling an hour later.

A poem is bound to occur to us about that...

Last Christmas we had a day out in London - ice skating. the rest of that story you will find in the poem below! Oh by the way I thought I had said so in the broadcast but it is me singing one of my poems in Adele’s programme. Mike Horwood has a contribution to make too Enjoy the programme.
